Features & Benefits

Falling Object Guard (FOG)
Falling Object Guard (FOG) A frame-mounted falling object guard protects the operator and cab from falling debris, enhancing safety and machine uptime.
Falling Object Guard (FOG)

Safe and sound

Volvo high reach excavators are built to ensure maximum safety in all demolition applications. A sturdy frame and cab offer ultimate protection against the falling debris that is common in demolition projects, and a wide, clear view of the jobsite provides excellent visibility for enhanced safety.

Multi-use demolition excavator

Volvo patented modular boom system

For ultimate versatility, the innovative hydraulic modular joint uses a hydraulic lock mechanism to release digging equipment and change from high reach demolition boom (36m -118ft- pin height arm or 26m -85ft- pin height arm) to a standard digging configuration (with an additional 4.4m -14.4ft- boom extension). These components can then be further configured – straight-straight (for high reach), straight-bent (for better center-of-gravity and extended forward safe working area), and bent-bent – for underground work. The hydraulic modular joint uses a hydraulic lock mechanism to release digging equipment and change from high reach to backhoe configuration.

Introducing the new Lifting Mode for Demolition, increasing flexibility, and saving time for transport of demolition components.

The new Lifting mode option provides more flexibility and reduced loss of time in your demolition operations and logistics: no need for additional crane or excavator for transport of the components. This results in a lower Total cost of ownership, avoiding rental of third pary machinery used for loading/unloading. When using the Multi-Demolition extension boom, the hoses do not need to be connected, thus saving valuable time. Also, less vehicles involved in the logistics have a positive impact on the carbon footprint of your demolition project.
