Specialist boom and arm

When you order straight boom you can be confident it comes ready to work. Features include X1 and X3 auxiliary piping, oil drain and quick fit line, water lines for the dust suppression system, as well as LED lights. Complemented with optional dedicated arm.

With demolition-specific features, the cab makes for a safe, comfortable and productive place.

Visibility and protection

The already industry renowned comfort of the Volvo Care Cab is further enhanced to bolster safety and visibility. Features include Frame-mounted Falling Object Guards, Roll-Over Protective Structure, and P5A grade single-piece front and roof window. The wide opening front guard for easy cleaning, and standard washer and wiper on the front and roof windows, further add to a safe, comfortable and convenient operator experience.

The integrated dust suppression system removes the need for a separate truck for pumping water.

Dust suppression system

Water is sprayed in a fine mist by four nozzles on the arm. The water is distributed from the engine compartment by a hydraulic pump. You only need to supply a water source equivalent to a garden hose. Dust suppression can be distributed using either Auto or Manual mode. Manual sprays continuously and Auto mode only sprays when the attachment is operating. A high-pressure water gun is also provided for machine cleaning and other operations.

The heavy counterweight boosts stability, yet enables easy transportation.

Stability and ease of transport

While at work the heavy counterweight provides outstanding stability, and when on the move, the counterweight is hydraulically removable allowing for easy transportation. The counterweight is also available with optional LED lighting.

The remote control option is especially useful on sensitive demolition projects.

At a safe distance

The demolition process sometimes carries uncertainties and therefore added risk to operators. The solution? Take the operator out of the cab. Our remote control system allows the operator to control the machine from a safe distance. When the machine is out of the hazardous area, the operator can retake manual control. The pre-mounted option – also available as a retrofit kit for machines already in the field – has been developed in cooperation with our authorized Special Application Solutions partner.
