Born to excel in every way
Assisting Vikram Infra in operations is a fleet of three Volvo Soil Compactors and a Volvo 5320D Paver. They are on the job in a section of Nelamangala-Tumkur NH-48 Project in Karnataka State. “This is a six-lane expressway being developed on EPC mode under Bharatmala Pariyojana initiative,” says Suresh Maila. “As usual, it is our Volvos leading from the front.” According to him, road building with Volvo machines is a different experience altogether. He is convinced they are a most valuable investment, especially for his Company that relies in sub-contract works. “A Volvo at work means the job will get done to world-class standards - faster and with lower fuel consumption,” he says. “Superior quality with better cost control – that’s what you get with Volvo. It means a lot to sub-contractors like us.” He also believes Volvos are safe and easy to operate. “You would think with so many high-end features, a Volvo must be difficult to handle but no - it’s the operator’s dream machine!”
Maintenance support for the Volvo fleet of Vikram Infra is provided by local Volvo CE dealer, ESSDEE Solutech. They have been associated with the Company from day one of operations. “Ensuring spares and on-site service on time every time is not easy,” says Vikram Singh. “But they have been doing it for years now - with a smile.”
The journey ahead looks even better
India is in the midst of a boom in road constructions. Scores of new projects – from rural and border roads to super expressways – are opening up growth opportunities for road builders like never before. Vikram Infra Engineering is going all out to leave its own mark in road building. Immediate plans include expansion of both manpower and equipment fleet. Vikram Singh sums up with a smile. “North, South, East or West, you can be sure we will seize every opportunity and do our very best,” he says. “Of course, with all the help from Volvo!”
