Champion – Series IV

October 1994 saw the introduction of Series IV motor graders, which incorporated a large scope of change to the grader. It also signaled Champion's entry into the contractor market.
The hydraulic system was changed from an open centre system to a closed centre system.
Short throw, industry standard hydraulic control levers were introduced. A new moveable highlift blade control system was added in addition to the fixed point blade control system.
The front axle was totally redesigned to improve reliability.
A new 24 V electrical system was also introduced.
