As Senior Vice President, Technology, Bitter will be responsible for leading the development and delivery of Volvo CE’s global technology strategy. He will report to company President Melker Jernberg and be a member of the company’s Executive Management Team.

Many years of experience
Bitter has been Senior Vice President of Volvo CE’s Marketing and Product Portfolio function since 2015. Prior to this, he was Vice President Global Marketing and before that held a number of customer-facing roles, based in Asia. Before joining Volvo CE, Thomas was responsible for Product Strategy at Mack Trucks, based in the US, and Product Manager at Renault Trucks, based in France.
A German national, Thomas holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and an MBA from the Lyon Graduate School of Business. Married with two children, Thomas is fluent in German, French and English. He enjoys running, telemark skiing, European history, furniture design and classic cars. Thomas will be based in Sweden at the company’s HQ in Gothenburg.
