The L30G and L35G compact wheel loaders from Volvo Construction Equipment may be small in stature, but they possess powerful breakout and lifting forces, as well as superb ground clearance to rival much larger machines. Powered by the latest Volvo D3.3M engine, the renewed G-Series meets the demanding Tier 4 Final/Stage IIIB emissions requirement without the need of a Diesel Particulate Filter. Cleverly designed, well-protected and offering incredible manoeuvrability, the 5.5-6.1 tonne Volvo compact wheel loaders are ideal for working in restricted or tight spaces, delivering superior durability for long-lasting performance.
Boasting all-round visibility, ergonomically positioned controls and ease of access, it’s no wonder the Volvo cab is an industry leader.
A curved windshield provides excellent forward view, while a new wiper and lower exhaust stack offers greater field of view, thereby optimizing rear-visibility. To ensure a more comfortable and productive work environment, the adjustable steering column has been redesigned to offer more room when seated, particularly around the knees, enabling the operator to tackle tough tasks with ease. Meanwhile, improvements to the front dashboard, steering wheel and accelerator pedal further enhance the operator’s driving experience. The sturdy, non-slip steps have been relocated and lowered for safe and easy ingress and egress, while the first step is painted bright orange to offset the surroundings and help guide the operator.
Regardless of the terrain, the L30G and L35G compact wheel loaders offer a smooth ride. The articulated oscillating joint and optional boom suspension system absorbs bumps, while the dual hydraulics system enables simultaneous lifting and steering so operators never have to compromise power for manoeuvrability. These features, as well as the single inching breaking pedal, provide owners with peace of mind that their machines are easy to drive, even for less experienced operators.
The L30G and L35G compact wheel loaders are powered by Tier 4 Final/Stage IIIB-compliant Volvo engines (55.4 kW/ 74.8 hp), providing all the power necessary to take on tough tasks. To maintain high power without the need for regeneration, customers can select the newly-introduced D3.3M engine, which features a Diesel Oxidation Catalyst. For those who require their Volvo compact wheel loader to operate in sensitive environments, the D3.3H version, including a Diesel Particulate Filter is available.
Thanks to the industry-unique portal axles and 100% differential locks for front and rear wheels, the compact wheel loaders deliver best-in-class ground clearance and unbeatable traction. With a flip of a switch, the operator can engage the differential locks to ensure that full power is distributed to each of the wheels, reducing tire slippage on unstable ground conditions.
Whether handling delicate freight, traveling frequently between worksites or using demanding attachments, Volvo’s compact wheel loaders get the job done without delay, regardless of the application. The smooth hydrostatic drive ensures fast cycle times, while the high-speed option minimizes transit time. An optional hydraulic pump increases the auxiliary flow up to 100 litres per minute, enhancing machine productivity.
Thanks to a number of high-performance features, theses compact wheel loaders maximize efficiency and provide a low total cost of ownership.
The choice between Volvo’s Z-bar kinematics – enabling excellent parallel movement with the pallet fork – and TP linkage – delivering high tilt force throughout the entire lift path – allows the operator to fine-tune the machine for specific applications. If selecting the Z-attachment bracket, customers can count on increased performance and greater payloads. Meanwhile, the original Volvo attachment bracket enables the use of attachments when operating larger Volvo loaders, thereby reducing overall inventory. Available on the L30G, the universal quick coupler guarantees compatibility with most skid steer loaders’ and compact track loaders’ attachments.
All Volvo compact wheel loaders feature a transvers-mounted engine, which simultaneously enables outstanding balance, while offering excellent access for service checks. To help minimize downtime caused by maintenance, the L30G and L35G offer an impressive 100 hours greasing interval. Not only are these compact wheel loaders easy to maintain, they also deliver long lasting performance and simplify service thanks to the disk brake. Previously offered for only the high-speed models, the disk break is now available as standard for the full G-series range.
For peace of mind, the high ground clearance offered by the portal axles and sturdy, casted rear counterweight shields vital components against damage from rocks and other obstacles.
Performing at maximum capacity is easy with a range of rigorously tested and approved Volvo attachments. The operator can choose from Volvo buckets, forks, grapple and material handling arms to reach their machine’s performance potential and enhance the L30G and L35G versatility and efficiency.
