At Asia’s most important industry event, Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) is making its presence at this year’s Bauma China one to be remembered. Under the theme of ‘Caring drives innovation’ the company’s 1,804 m2 exhibition area (B.64) will play host to several important new products and demonstrate Volvo CE’s pledge to providing excellence throughout the product ownership lifestyle.
Star products at the show neatly underline Volvo CE’s long term commitment to the China market. These include the new P6820C and P8720B pavers, EW60C wheeled excavator, L220G wheel loader and the EC170D and EC220DL crawler excavators. Also new – and designed specifically for the China market – is a range of attachments for the L105 wheel loader, which turn this adaptable machine into a multiple tool carrier. Attachments include an advanced log grapple, a high tipping bucket and a side dumping bucket – the latter being particularly useful in China’s many tunnels and underground mine sites.
Visitors to the Volvo booth will experience an insight into some of the advantages and benefits provided to customers, thanks to Volvo’s comprehensive package of finance, fleet management, parts and service support offerings. Demonstrating how ‘caring drives innovation’ at the company, Volvo CE’s latest innovative concept machine – the GaiaX – will be on display, highlighting the possibilities for fully electric compact excavators in the future. In addition, emphasizing the company’s caring approach, to both society and to the environment, will be examples of Trash to Treasure, Volvo CE’s ‘Up-Cycling’ design arts campaign, which recycles machine componentry into works of art. And not forgetting Operator Idol, of course, Volvo CE’s wildly successful Eco-Operator competition.
At 2pm on the first day of the show Martin Weissburg, the company’s president, will host an international press conference during the show, in which he will discuss trading conditions, introduce the new products at bauma and outline the company’s future plans. He will also highlight how China is fundamental to the company’s future plans (it is already market leader in excavators and wheel loaders), pledging Volvo CE’s long term commitment to the Chinese market.
Demonstrating the breadth of the Volvo Group, Volvo Construction Equipment will also be joined at the show by sister company, Industrial engine supplier Volvo Penta, who will be displaying its new range of engines that are compliant with China III emissions standards, as well as its EU Stage IV/US EPA Tier 4 Final engines.
And if all that isn’t enough, for visitors who really want to live the brand, there will also be a wide range of Volvo merchandise available to buy on the stand. Star among these will Volvo CE and LEGO® Technic’s collaboration to create a miniature remote-controlled L350F wheel loader that not only drives, steers, lifts and loads just like the real thing – it also converts into an equally impressive hauler.
There’s no doubt about it – the Volvo booth is the place to be this November at bauma China 2014!
