Volvo CE’s legacy of safety plays out in latest Spirit magazine, now available for iPad

The new edition of the Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) company magazine, Spirit, is now available, with a special focus on safety.

As well as the print and online versions, Spirit – Volvo Construction Equipment’s company magazine – is now available as a free interactive iPad app downloadable directly from the Apple iTunes store or via the magazine’s website (www.volvospiritmagazine.com).

The Spirit app, now in its fourth edition, gives readers another way to access the latest news from Volvo CE, as well as reaching a wider audience around the world.

“Our Spirit iPad app has grown more popular with each issue we’ve released,” says Clare Gittins, director of external communications at Volvo CE. “Readers tell us they enjoy the news and in-depth stories it provides, as well as the exclusive features and video content. The app is designed to complement the print edition of the magazine, offering more interactive material—and you can even access this directly from the magazine pages by scanning the relevant QR codes with your iPad”

This latest edition of the magazine is dedicated to safety — one of Volvo’s core values, for which the company is well known and widely applauded. Volvo has always been at the forefront of innovation when it comes to building safe machines, providing safety training for operators and creating a safe working environment for its employees. In this issue, Spirit takes a behind-the-scenes look at Volvo CE’s rigorous safety testing process, as well the latest safety features of its newest machines.

The iPad app isn’t the only way readers can learn more about Volvo CE. Users can also read the magazine online with the Spirit magazine viewer; find out more about Volvo CE’s history, core values and products at its global website; or interact with the company via Facebook, Twitter and YouTube
