When Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE) arrives at Bauma China 2012, on outdoor stand B.64, visitors can expect to see a variety of new-to-the-market machines, including the all-new L105 wheel loader, which has been tailored to the specific needs of customers in China. The company will also showcase its D-Series and the brand new EC80D at Volvo CE’s 1,766 m2 stand. Highlighting the importance of the show and the region, Volvo CE President Pat Olney will attend the event and host an international press conference.
With the ability to quickly change attachments, the powerful mid-sized L105 wheel loader can quickly be adapted to a range of varied tasks and is especially useful in pallet and mining applications. Its six-cylinder Volvo engine gives high torque at low RPM for greater power and fuel efficiency. The new D-Series excavators feature Volvo engines with exceptional peak torque at low engine speeds, contributing to superior fuel efficiency. When it comes to making a good impression, customers want the biggest, toughest machine they can get. And not only is the Volvo EC80D larger and heavier than its counterparts in the class, it also has high digging forces, fast cycle times and offers excellent fuel economy in applications such as trenching, small-scale excavation, agricultural, landscaping, and road construction. Standing tall at 2.66 meters and measuring an impressive 2.3 meters wide, the newest Volvo excavator is tailored to the Chinese market and built to be the largest machine in its class on the market today.
Volvo CE will also show off its award-winning A40F articulated hauler. The recent recipient of the prestigious ‘red dot: best of the best’ design award, the A40F builds upon a half century of heritage of hauler design excellence, introducing increased glass coverage at the back of the cab to further improve visibility. It also features a swing-down, anti-slip front grill with integrated steps to provide easier, safer access. But design isn’t the A40F’s only asset: power and agility are among the heavy-duty A40F articulated hauler’s primary benefits.
Volvo CE will also highlight its expertise in road machinery at Bauma China by displaying two pavers and compactors – including the ABG6820 asphalt paver that appeared in the ‘2011 China Construction Machinery TOP50 Products’. The paver was recognized for its advanced technology, high efficiency and low emissions.
Demonstrating that Volvo CE is dedicated to customer satisfaction, the company will showcase an extensive range of aftermarket options, including customer support agreements (CSAs). CSAs can be tailored four different ways to suit customer needs — from spare part coverage to guaranteeing superior maintenance from Volvo CE-trained technicians. Volvo CE will also launch new aftermarket products such as remanufactured parts, which meet customer’s needs with the same quality standard and warranty clause but at a lower cost.
Volvo Penta, the Volvo Group´s outlet for industrial diesel power, will also be a part of Volvo CE’s booth at Bauma China. With aggressive investments in product development and product renewal during the past few years, Volvo Penta has created a state-of-the art and world class product range for industrial engines. Volvo Penta´s exhibition at Bauma China will include new 7 and 13 litre versatile engines for industrial machinery and power generation.
Volvo comes to Bauma 2012 with a focus on providing the best possible products and services to suit the needs of the Chinese market — and shows off a fleet of what are arguably the most innovative and high-quality machines, services and engines available.
