It offers a live machine map, integrates with production systems, and delivers actionable insights. Volvo Site Operations is available in two packages: level Start and Advanced.

Machines are equipped with a tablet running a map-based tracking app. Data is gathered from machine APIs, third-party assets (e.g., weighbridges, onboard weighing), and manual inputs. This enables real-time insights for smarter decision-making. An Office Portal provides an overview of all machines and production data from crushers, silos, and more.

The service benefits multiple industries that depend on heavy equipment tracking, operational efficiency, and safety monitoring. However, it is specifically optimized for earth moving or bulk material handling e.g.:

  • Quarry & Aggregate Operations, Open-pit quarries
  • Cement and asphalt production sites
  • Metal production sites
  • Above-ground mining support operations

Volvo Site Operations is brand-agnostic and compatible with all machine brands. It can collect data from most machines and trucks, depending on data and AEMP 2.0 API availability. Additionally, it integrates with third-party systems, including onboard weighing systems, weighbridges, crusher weigh systems, and other production metrics when accessible via APIs. While the system does not support API data export, it does offer data export using CSV.

  • Real-time positioning of all assets and a shared map for all users with visualization of zones, traffic regulations, and Points of Interest (POI).
  • Speeding alerts that automatically notify operators and visitors when they exceed speed limits.
  • Restricted entry alerts that alert operators and visitors if they enter restricted zones.
  • Monitor and track and review speeding or restricted-entry incidents at the office through event logs and heatmaps for analysis.

Yes. A dedicated tablet kit is available separately for both Volvo and non-Volvo machines, including a pre-configured tablet, protective case, mount, power supply, and Volvo SIM card for connectivity.
