With the L120H Electric Conversion, we are fulfilling market appetite for more sustainable solutions in the mid-size range and providing a solution ready to fit into your work site today. Developed in conjunction with partners – Parker and converted by Volvo Group’s own CE Engineering Solutions – the 20-ton L120H Electric Conversion uses the market recognized conventional machine as the base, delivering the same performance all with the upside of doing so emission free.

Sustainable power

Our L120 wheel loader has built a robust reputation for moving more material with greater flexibility. And now available as an electric variant, it provides all the benefits of the diesel-powered L120H but with added sustainability. Already known for its reliability, serviceability and operator comfort (provided by our industry-leading Volvo Cab), the L120H Electric Conversion will offer all the efficiency, comfort and performance customers have come to expect from one of our machines. In addition, customers can enjoy the following features as standard: Comfort Drive Control, Load Assist with On-Board Weighing plus radar detection with our new Collision Mitigation System. The L120H Electric Conversion will be supported by dedicated electromobility applications which allow the operator to check battery and charging status and to preheat the cab.

Thanks to a powerful runtime and improved operator environment, the L120H Electric Conversion allows customers to make the switch to electric with ease.

Change made easy

The L120H Electric Conversion delivers the same powerful performance as its diesel counterpart, but thanks to its updated electric driveline, it also delivers zero exhaust emissions and near silent operation. These benefits combine to offer enhanced comfort for both the operator and those working near the machine. Powered by 240 kWh batteries, it provides a runtime in medium duty applications of an estimated 4-5 hours, making it easy for customers to make the switch to electric.

Volvo’s wide range of charging solutions provide a consistently reliable power source to keep the L120H Electric Conversion wheel loader up and running for longer.

Leading the charge

Available with an integrated on-board charger, which enables AC charging at 22kW, the L120H Electric Conversion is leading the charge when it comes to more sustainable construction solutions. Consistent with Volvo’s existing charging solutions, the L120H Electric Conversion can charge from 0-100% in just 1.5-2 hours using a 150 kW DC fast charger with CCS2 interface or when using the overnight charger, at 22kW AC, it takes 10-12 hours from empty to full.
