Features & Benefits

Clean and comfortable An electric machine is a cleaner and quieter choice for everyone – ready to play its part in building a more sustainable world.

Clean and comfortable

Experience a better place to work, both in-cab and on site, due to the significant reduction in noise, dust, vibration and heat. The EC230 Electric is a more responsive machine and being electric means an absence of exhaust fumes. These factors are helping operators and site workers to remain alert and productive throughout the working day.

Cut costs

A move to an electric machine can reduce energy-related costs thanks to the more cost-effective nature of electricity as a power source compared to fuel. What’s more, the electric motor is around 99% efficient and no energy is used when the machine is not moving and working, saving on energy consumption and wear.

At home in the city

The noise levels offered by the EC230 Electric enable work anytime, anywhere – even at night in populated areas. It also makes the work environment more pleasant for you and your colleagues, with whom you can now communicate clearly during work, so that they can guide you while maintaining a safe working distance from the machine.

A sustainable solution

Our industry needs to adapt to a more sustainable way of working and it cannot happen fast enough. With the EC230 Electric we are fulfilling the market appetite for more sustainable solutions and providing a solution ready to fit into your work site today. The EC230 Electric is delivering the same performance but with the upside of doing so emission free.

New business horizons

Open up new opportunities for your business with a low noise and zero-tailpipe emissions machine. Noise sensitive areas, indoors, low carbon zones, unsociable hours – these are all places an electric machine can work, where a diesel alternative cannot.

Serviceability

Lower your maintenance costs and give uptime a boost with the maintenance-free electric motor, and absence of any engine-related components.

Get the complete solution Thanks to our standard CCS2 connector and our Volvo charging options we can offer you the complete solution.

Get the complete solution

No need to refuel, boasting outstanding levels of operator comfort and lower maintenance costs compared to a diesel alternative – this is a machine designed to have an electric impact on your bottom line.  Customers can get the same productivity or even better than with the EC230 diesel machine.

Flexibility with standard connector

The EC230 Electric is equipped with CCS2 connector which is a standard connector in most of the European countries. It gives you the flexibility to connect and use the EC230 Electric anywhere and use all available chargers on the market. The EC230 Electric is delivered with a charging cable with the power level of 22 kW, which enables battery charging via a CEE socket

A full working day

With a typical stop-start working pattern, the EC230 Electric can be operated for seven to eight hours with a single charge, depending on the type of job (application and intensity of the work cycle). You might do a full eight-hour workday without charging during a lunch break. Featuring industry-leading battery technology, the EC230 Electric comes with solutions to help you manage the charging process more efficiently. It can be recharged in as little as in 60 minutes with maximum charging power (up to 80%).

Charging solutions

The EC230 Electric is delivered with a charging cable with the power level of 22 kW, which enables battery charging via a CEE socket. A DC charger of at least 40kW is required for 1 day operation. You can also use a 250 kW DC fast charger with CCS2 interface, which takes about 90 minutes from empty to full, using 700V/350A. If you are using a 40kW portable charger it takes 9-10 hours from empty to full.

Power unit charger

Using a power unit for power peak shaving, allowing fast charging of big electric machines also at sites with poor grid connection. Input is up to 125A/400V AC (32A or 64A AC connector) and output is up to 150kW.
