Volvo wheeled excavator is a perfect choice for Japanese landscaping project

When the Kisokoma Kogen Country Club in Japan’s Nagano Prefecture needed some sensitive landscaping work that would not disrupt the surrounding countryside Shimohata Housing Facility had the perfect tool – its EW60E Compact Excavator from Volvo Construction Equipment (Volvo CE).

The machine is owned and operated by Takashi Shimohata, Representative Director of Shimohata Housing Facility, a local contractor specialising in civil engineering, construction, water supply, and architectural projects.

At the Kisokoma Kogen Country Club the EW60E was deployed for several tasks on the destination’s golf course, including tree felling and mowing. It worked with three attachments to complete all the tasks, including a felling attachment capable of cutting down trees up to 230 mm in diameter, and two mowing attachments.

In addition, the EW60E’s wheeled design was the ideal choice for accessing the challenging locations on the job site. It was able to move effortlessly and efficiently along the roads of the golf course, ensuring uninterrupted and streamlined operations.
