Volvo CE’s Japanese Dealer launches new test facility and showroom as demand continues to rise

The new Yamazaki Machinery showroom and test facility for Volvo CE machines was inaugurated at an official opening ceremony on 12 April 2024. The event attracted hundreds of customers and included a machine exhibit, test track, and showroom for customers to experience the features and benefits of Volvo Construction Equipment’s range of machines. The facility houses an extensive range of Volvo CE machines, including excavators, wheel loaders, articulated haulers, and compactors.

The new site is designed to enhance the purchase experience for Japanese customers, allowing them to experience the machinery firsthand and assess its power and performance. Customers can then make more informed purchase decisions by seeing the speed, maneuverability, power, and efficiency of different models.

The facility also allows customers to assess the machinery's safety features, including the operators' visibility and protection. During their visit, customers received guidance and training from knowledgeable Yamazaki Machinery staff, helping them understand the machinery's operation, maintenance, and safety protocols. Potential customers were able to compare different models, enabling them to identify the best fit for their needs in terms of performance, cost-effectiveness, and application.

Customer demonstration and test driving

As part of the planned activities, participants were divided into groups to experience test-driving the Volvo A30G articulated hauler. This also included a Q&A session on the technical specifications and capabilities of the machine. In the excavator experience area, the EC200EL & ECR355EL excavators and EC140E crawler excavators were on display, and visitors were able to experience the power and operability of the machines first-hand by trying out the excavator’s digging capabilities.
